We did it! On September 27-28, Team Screens ‘N’ Spokes completed the annual City to Shore ride. Our squad of 22 joined over 7,000 riders of all shapes and sizes in the journey to Ocean City NJ AND back over the weekend…

We sported a black and white jersey designed by Austin designer (and SNS friend) Bobby Dixon at Kollective Fusion. The jersey’s clean lines allowed us to focus, with “clear eyes full hearts”, on our mission. And, of course, for all team members to make it safely, with lots of fun and spirit along the way, to each day’s 80+ mile destination.

This year’s jersey also celebrated our roots in Philadelphia, and our ties to New York City, where we (Sam and Jess) live. We have several teammates past and present who do multiple rides, and in 2014 are debuting Team SNS at Bike MS NYC. Both cities have a strong tradition of “Liberty”, with pride and stewardship from their people as well as in their landmarks, the Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty. "Liberty" is featured as a design element on our jerseys as a symbol of our collective freedom to ride, to move, to live - and to protect this for others as well. We’ll be riding in New York City on Sunday October 5 - - if you’re in town keep your eyes peeled...

City to Shore is always an inspiring event, and this year was no different. For the 2014 season, the team has so far contributed almost $60,000 to fund NMSS programs and cutting edge research. Team member Frank Boka has singlehandedly raised over $16,000 – way to go Frank! Thanks to everyone for your hard work, leadership, and generosity. Next stop, NYC (or the Great 8 Ride)!
